FRX-1 Simplex RoF receiver
Description
FRX-1 Simplex RoF receiver
The FRX-1 receiver allows the conversion of optical signals into UHF electrical signals, offering the advantages of optical fiber transmission (low loss, wide bandwidth) as well as the inherent benefits of the medium itself (lightweight, galvanic isolation, etc.).
The FRX-1 has two operating mode:
- Amplified ouput, in this mode the received RF signal is 30dB amplified, which makes it possible to re-transmit UHF signals by connecting an antenna at the BNC.
- Attenuated output, in this mode the received RF signal is attenuated by 0, 10 or 30dB. Used to receive low signal and adapt the strengh to the end device (wireless mic receiver, GPS receiver, spectrum analyzer…)

FRX-1 schematic
A RF peak LED indicates if RF stignal is too strong. A 1second push on the SW button will allows you to check the optical signal strength.
The FRX-1 can be DC powered through the DC-FEED on BNC connector.
The FRX-1 can be configured to work with 50 or 75-ohm impedances (at order).
The FRX-1 is compatible BSRF’s AFB-250.
Its compact size allows it to be integrated into waterproof enclosures, cabinets.
